21st Century Philanthropy: The Crypto Crash and Cryptocurrency Basics for Charities

This program will provide an overview of the cryptocurrency shakeup of 2022 and a practical introduction to digital assets, including cryptocurrencies and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Key considerations that charities and their advisors must be aware of when venturing into this new asset class will be discussed. Sharon C. Lincoln, an expert on tax and charitable organization matters, will highlight the tax implications that come with holding digital assets and the governance issues charities must address when deciding to accept such assets.  (1/25/23)
